Ah.. back to the old days :D

HFT started even earlier really as I can remember in the early to mid 80's turning up & queuing at game fairs to shoot FT competitions, everyone shooting springers, most in camo. The targets were all based on hunting scenarios with target on bales, under logs & the like.

First one I remember was mid to late, knockdowns, think one per lane? Took a holiday off shooting for a decade or so after that.

I can remember the first one I went to at a big game fair, most of the shooters looked as though they'd be more at home with a banjo than an air rifle :D

Good to see the big man with the famous white shooting jumper!

I shot several times at the nomads back in 93-94 mainly FT but we did do one hunter comp there :) the guy at the end of the video (about 3m 54s in) looks like it could well be our old chairman so maybe it was that one??? Was always a sight to behold with Rob Verrier and Simon Young sporting their baggy joggers and knitted tops:D:D Also remember one shoot there with Terry Doe shooting a prototype AA Prosport, can't remember if that was hunter or FT though.

It was called FT in those days before the PCP and rangefinding scope took over arround 1990, and became the formaty we have today. I think HFT has taken over the spirit of the original FT. When and where were the current HFT rules shot to with the dreaded no sitting rules.
