I've just bought a Big Nikko scope and I'd like to fit a sunshade to it. They are available in 2 sizes (from what I can see) 60mm & 145mm, Any advice on what size I should choose.

    Many thanks in advance.

Have a look what the top shooters like John Lee & Dave Swmmens are using on theirs, but i think 60ml is about the size most use?

Dint know there were two diff sizes for the mk3 i know the mk1 and mk2's scope shades are shorter the mk3 version been a longer one. However the thread is different on the mk1/2 vs the mk3 might be were the difference is.

John's is longer than mine ;)

I use quite a short one but would have bought longer if available at the time.

Dave is correct - the Mk3 sunshade will not screw into a Mk1 or 2. The thread is different.

    Dave.

    down pipe

Made my first sunshade out of rain water down pipe, cause the 2008 shade's were not available.
You could have one 5.5m long if you wanted:D:D
When i finaly got one i use the longer one and it worked well for me.

Didn't know that there are different thread sizes (mine's the Mk1). Thanks for the warning. Hopefully the supplier will know this when I contact them

    Hi

Contact el tel on here, he supplied mine and a few others, not sure if he makes them himself but he seems to sell them on a regular basis.

Terry makes them himself but he's not doing any lathework at the moment: he's had a back problem for some time and spent a while in hospital getting it fixed (hopefully).
