As I understand it yes, only the flattened edge of a beanbag to keep the knee clean rather than to cushion, the bag won't be allowed 'under' the shooter. Been trying it today, makes no difference to my wobble :)

    clean knee

Bag out in front of the shooter, used to keep the knee clean only:)
No more sitting on the inflated bit or resting the shin and ankle on the bag.

Also the three points of contact ONLY, are, Leading foot, opposite Knee, and toe to floor and heel of foot on buttocks.:)

allowing/using your rear supporting leg, shin area to be flat on floor by twisting foot or bending it backwards
( By the contortionists among us ) will be classed as two points of contact, so making that position illegal;)

Also, hamsters are not allowed to be touching the leading forearm and nor (if attached to rifle) can slings be used/held for extra support.

Only the leading Hand can be used to support the rifle.;)

Looks like most of us need to start learning a new position then.

I will also start practicing standers on one leg - so I will be one step ahead of the next change.

The shin always contacts the floor.

And you can take kneelers with 2 points of contact. It's called standing. Or somewhere in between ;)

if your foot is in the correct position for kneeling ie perpendicular to the ground, it makes a natural triangular gap of open space under your shin.

even my nine year old daughter can do it,

so if you are havings problems doing it, i'll get libby to show you :D:D:D

    3 Points of contact

So what has happened if confirmed, instead of enforcing the original rule another rule will be put in place. Also if I and others want to carry on with knee directly onto the mud will this be allowed.Who will enforce the new rule if confirmed as that was the problem with the old rule ?

Someone mentioned today that there will be pictures provided to show the legal position.

I would ask that this is done as quickly as possible to allow people to practice the position.

    Dave.

if you want to put your knee in the mud, thats your choice chloe, but the seat/cusion/bed roll etc cannot be used to support anywere else.

any changes will only come into place at the start of the new season ( April 2014 )

Tell your daughter to try it with 20+ stone resting on her foot / toe. She may struggle to walk for a few days

Not sure where you heard that, not correct on both recieving misses as far as i am aware. Your shooting partner should be your marshall though.:)

I will be doing them this week Dave and sending to all regional reps to pass on. I would expect they may apper on Bfta website too so keep an eye out.

Is someone going to fully explain this, from reading the posts here, I'm confused about what's legal what isn't legal now?

Rear foot has to be perpendicular in both x and y axis now then? shin can't touch the ground?

How will you know if the shin is touching the ground if someone is wearing loose fitting trousers?, How will you know hamster isn't touching forearm with loose fitting sleeves?

Since the rules are largely marshalled by your shooting partners, clear and unambiguous definitions would be a very good idea - some photo's would be even better.

As a 20 stoner, i know its do-able. It makes the kneeling shot harderjust using the bag to keep the knee clean (you dont have to use the bag) which to me is what I think is needed for "all."
If I put my bag under my ankle its little short of sitting. Plus thats what was causing grief and comments on forums when the pics popped up.

If its not liked a new proposal can always go in for 2015:)
