Would it be ok to shoot two different pellet weights in a GP?
My ev2 runs at 777fps with 8.44's and 797fps with 7.9's without any adjustment.
So if both pellets run legal could i use a mixed bag ,7.9's to 35 yds and 8.44 for the long ones?
    Your thought's please
    thanks simon

Maybe not this season, but next year the new model of the Daystate Grand Prix might possibly have a load cell built into the breech. That would mean you could load your pellet pouch with any old pellets that came to hand, the gun will detect the weight and adjust the firing valve opening to suit. :)

Then there will be a bluetooth link between the rifle circuitry and the new S&B top turret, adjusting the pre-set look-up table that sets the crosshairs after the autofocus has determined the range. :D:D

    It's a bu99er if the pellet's bent, though.

I'm guessing the only reason you would want to do this is because you have a lot of 7.9's (JSB's?)
that are not grouping well at the longer ranges?

poi are different to dailing matey u would hav to hav to different charrts and a 30 zero with a 7.9 would be different with a 8.4,8.4 would drop low if gun as bullet drops for 7.9

    Erm....you're bonkers ? :D

what's the issue with each that means longer ones need a different pellet to shorter ones?

You may of hit the nail on the head

    .you're bonkers ?

I have about 50 8.44's that i am sure will hit were i want them to.
The 7.9's i have no confidence in them past 35 yds.
Basicly 50 pellets is all i have left from my best batch of jsb's and im not sure my ev likes the express i have.
both seem to shoot of the same clicks.
I have tried several batches of 8.44's and am really struggling to find any good ones.
If any one can suggest a good batch number that suit a mk2 ev i would be very grateful
Until then i'll have to carry on going out of my mind looking for answer's
    cheers simon

    Pellets ?

I had a similar problem with my exacts . just would not shoot well . i looked around and found that the air arms ( old ones ) in 8. 4 , 4.52 went very well indeed . gotta be worth a try ??? HOLLY
PS don't run em to fast . try 775 . get very good windage . nice and curved .

Near enough the same output as mine with both pellets, and yes its exactly the same trajectory to the click.
I would be more concerned what the BFTA chrono decides to give.
