Rob, google map link doesn't look correct. when you zoom in on the icon looks as if it's right in the middle of a residential area.

    Here are directions :-

Coming from Glasgow, pass through milngavie and take the road for Strathblane ( A 81 ).
The reservoir will be on your left.

You will pass some new build houses on the right ( somebody is building new houses )

Then you will pass esporta sports centre on your right( careful ! there is a speed camera here)

Take the second driveway on the right after Esporta. This is signposted Bankell farm campsite.

Carry on down the narrow tarmac road to a junction at some farm buildings and turn left.

Follow this road around the farm buildings to a car park.

We are down the embankment behind the car park.

Here is a link to a map (I hope!) Bankell farm is at the end of the dead end road just showing at the start of Craigmaddie reservoir.

I have been there once for HFT not too hard to find.

I have found a premier inn about a mile away from it, but seeing as I wish to get away from the great unwashed (festival goers :D , its the IoW Festival then ) that weekend thinking of making it a long one ie thurs to tues.

Can anyone recommend a B&B that would have twin beds. Want to take my Dad up with me and seeing as it will virtually one end of the country to the other daft not to make the most of it.

    Thanks

    Hi Andy,

I used to work near there. I'm afraid I can't recommend any B&B but suggest you look around the Loch Lomond area, there are some excellent spots there. From google maps it looks like a 15-20 mile drive to Westfield

    Rob,
I've booked Milngavie Premier Inn £42 for a twin room, which i didn't think was too bad.

There is a b&b just 1/2 a mile down from our ground,
    Barloch guest house 0141 956 1432 or

    Drumlin guest house 0141 956 1596 or

    Best foot forward 0141 956 3046 or

    Adam b 0141 584 9400

this last one must be just next to barloch so about the same distance to the club ground and a 5 min. walk into Milngavie for shops, pubs and restuarants.
If you want any more info pm me or phone on 0141 943 1068.
    Hope this helps.
