I have had a word with some of the other members of Far Coley and we are in agreement that we would like the shoot to be 2 sessions if possible. As we are not sure how many are going to turn up on the day, I would like to trial 3 per lane with feed ons as Shaun suggested for GP1. We can still go for 8.30 start if the am session shooters can get here in time and are in agreement. I think the total numbers for GP1 was round 165, so if we have similar at GP2 it should work fine..

75 shooters starting on each session with 2/3 feed on lanes each session=168 shooters. This will give more time between sessions for the presentation from GP1.

    Thoughts and ideas welcome.

    Neil.

Are you chief marshall for gp2 Neil? your shoot and thus choice if so, on how many sessions and numbers in my book?
As long as you let shooters know, its up to them to make start time?
What time will zero be open? intend to be with you for about 7am

Plinking range will be out the day before (no sneaking on there Berty) so will be open for people to use from 7am.

I will be chief Marshall, at least on the session I'm not shooting.

We will need some help from other clubs with a couple of tables for the drinking station and chrono. Those water containers which were used for the drinking station at Milride would be handy too. A gazebo for booking in, unless Sam (if she will kindly do it for us) is happy in the shed again. A cover for the chrono. And one of the Milride lads suggested we use the wallie talkies, which would be helpful. If there's anything I've missed out and people can help with just post on here or call me. Neil.

Morning Neil. We'll probably be seeing you this weekend and we can discuss all your requirements then, both personnel and equipment. Otherwise, just pm me with anything you need (or want to discuss)and I'll bring it over.

Agree with this, much prefer two session's,especially if you have to travel far, stick the no shows( the one's without a valid and genuine excuse) and the ones who decide to turn up un announced on the day in the third sesion.

    Hi Neil,

Not been to a big event at Far Coley. Where will we park, is it much of a walk?

    Hi Jerry....

The intention is for people to park on the field on the right just prior to entering the copse (field permitting and with people being sensible), plinking will also be in this field. Booking in will be at the shed (or in the vicinity of, however this may be in the field also, just ask someone, they will show you the way and all marshalls will be wearing hi-viz vests) approx 50 yards from parking, as for the length of the course i'd expect a 200-300yard route.
