I've been talking to a lad who doesnt know much to be fair and he wanted to know what the best selling air rifles in America are. Any ideas or links to lists?
I'm thinking along the lines of pellets rifles not BB.
I'd imagine the Benjamin Marauder would be up there, possibly the Gamo Big Cat?
I believe well known air rifle enthusiast Officer Byrd owns a .22 Daystate Huntsman running approx 20ftlb so I guess it could be anything that tops the list?

Just a general question mate. Any power, calibre, pcp or Springer, it's just a query...

I don't know but looking at YouTube stuff over the pond gammo and fx are heavily promoted with there you tube guys.

You don't really see steyr airarms walther or Anschutz stuff like on here.
They seem to be into anything that can do 50 ft pounds plus in muzzle energy.

Lol I don't think they like shooting in the wind and giving it one and a half milldots at 35 yards like we have too.

Understood Pete, I am on AGN and other US sites, just tell him to register, Pete, Gary,Bob etc. Not mommahhammad etc. He will be ok. The guys are ok.
Just to give a bit of context. I shoot a few FAC air rifles, Daystate included, without access to our cousins I would be stuck when trying to tune our UK products. ;)

As far as spring guns go, it would have to be the Walmart stuff. 10 to 20 years ago I saw loads of RWS 48 (Diana). Also lots of Gamo stuff. All the average Joe wants is 1250 fps. The FT, HFT, and bench rest guys shoot the usual suspects. I have around 8-9 guys show up on Saturdays and there are 4 TX's and 4 RAW guns, with 1 Marauder thrown in. I hold my own with a 12 ft. lb. TX vs. the 15 to 20 ft. lb. RAW guns.

I find Officer Byrd answers my texts so quickly that I often have a response before I’ve asked the question ;)
