Hi guys I was looking for a high mag hft scope,I run a 10x42 eb sniper which is good but I'm questioning my eye sight in hoping a higher mag scope might help.

    I've been looking at...
    Falcon menace 4-14x44 FFP
    Bushnell elite 2.5-16x42 ..

But if anyone has a view on other let me know.

You are more likely to struggle for clarrity at either extreme of range the higher the mag. What is already blurred at x10 will be worse as the mag goes up.

It not that objects are blurred,I just have a problem seeing very small objects that I use to shoot at,2mm pin at 20 yards is kinda hard to see, used my Burris on 20 mag seen it no probs...

But for HFT, once set to start the course, a higher mag will mean that close targets and those at full distance will be even more blurred, although you may see really well at your 30-35 yard zero, or at whatever range you have set the parallax for.
Adjusting your scope to see something at 20 yards to practice on is not the same as having to use that setting for everything from 8-45 yards.

Higher mag would only be used for practice,35 yard zero set to 28 yard px for hft..
I'm just concentrating on standing shots at the moment and the low mag of 10 is making me strain to see small objects and small holes.

may I also suggest the bushnell 5-15 legend.crystal clear glass and at 10xmag everything appears bigger than it has done on any other scope I've owned including the 6500 elite. the downside is the mildots are rather large and are not true a 10 x mag

no restrictions on mag . but normally over 12xyou don't stand a chance of seeing your close and far targets without being very blurry.

Higher mag for small objects,if I can hit a 2mm pin head at 20 yards standing and toil to see it,anything over that I wouldn't stand a chance of seeing further down range....
