I shot the early days of HFT with a .22 Rapid and could easily go back to one, but as the lads say most likely the best all rounder would be S400/S410.

S400 with a 10 shoot adaptor, much cheaper than an S410 & easier to use for HFT

Out of guns I own it'd be either my Elan or HW100, probably the 100 as the custom stock makes the cheek piece higher and .22 is a giggle, although I feel a custom stock coming for the Elan soon. I'd say a MK3/4 would be worth a punt as a do all gun as well as a 4*0.

I've had a HW100, still got a 410 with a single shot adapter and a MK4 and I think any of them can be an all rounder as efficiently as the others, personally I like the MK4 best but it's not 'better' imo

My S400 is the best gun for hunting and HFT for me but saying that the Rapid is on my shopping list but in FAC.

evening, just got an s400 myself , mainly for use at the club because it weighs a fraction of my other guns:)
must admit it's an ideal allrounder having despatched several ferals at work and shooting a 55 first time out.

Not tried the mk 3 for hunting yet, but the AAs410 served me well.

Over the years we have seen makes and models of Air Gun's come and go

    @ Lea Valley

In my Early day's it was Rapid's and Air Arms

    Then Daystates

But HW100's seem to be the best stayer to date

And notice a few top Shots exchanging their Daystates for HW100's

    I do personally have a HW100 - Bar custom - ;)

As Say to Shooters - check out local Air Gun Clubs and see what others
    are using and why...........

    All rounder

It has to be the S400 cheaper than the S410 but still as deadly. But if you got a bonus the Ripley AR5s simply the best.
