Barrel End

    Quick question.

    I have just purchased a new LG 110 HP Hunting .22 at 12flbs.

    Looking at the barrel end it is grooved, but my LG 110 FT .177 is not.

    Why would one be grooved and the other not?

    That is a recessed crown, a very nice touch to protect the end of the barrel which many manufactures ignore. Any Steyr barrel I have ever seen has had it.

    I hope you don't mean the grooves as in the rifling!

    Thanks Conor, I just had another look at the .177 such enough you are correct.:eek:o
