I clean mine about every 200-250 shots, although AA recommend every 100-150 shots.

If it's a new EV2, then the barrel will get dirty quickly for the first several thousand shots and will benefit from frequent cleaning to maintain accuracy ;)

Both mine are done every 150 -200 Alex, but both are well run in!

as Tony points out, new barrels seem to get very dirty quickly which may spoil accuracy / tight groups.

Try cleaning the barrel, put 10 - 20 pellets through it to get it leaded up again and then shoot it at card (45 yards) until you see accuaracy drop off, while counting pellets in say batches of 25
Ii tend to get more "Fliers" when mine need a clean.

Some however say they do not clean very often at all.

Pellet Lube should prolong gaps between cleaning spells and may improve accuracy.
Thats next on my test card.

Its all about lknowing "YOUR" equipment.
