I think thats the key here Dave, on the SiHFT I don't seem to be enjoying it as much as say a club shoot or UK event..

I always wondered why people didn't used to bother with clubs , in club and regional comps instead choosing to pick a comp get in the car and shoot it ... seems a good idea to me .

It's generally not the shooting or the comps that get me down. It's usually the ill informed B/S, marketing B/S, politicking and bitching that get to me. Due to work commitments I've shot less comps and gone to the club less in the past year than I have in any of the previous five years or so. Although, when I have shot I've thoroughly enjoyed myself, I've not really missed it. I've missed a few of the folks and I've missed some of the banter. I have time for the much more solitary pursuits of hunting and fishing. Guess I'm just turning into a miserable hermit!;):D

I've stopped taking any of it seriously... it's about fun and a few hours out of the house chucking lead at tin chickens (all the rest is just window dressing). I've no interest in politics, egos and arguments and take everyone as I find them which I think is the best way to go.

    peace, out :D

    take what you want

just a quick word from a NIG at this sport it is the same with hft as with any pastime in as much as the amount of enjoyment you get from it all depends on what you put in .

if you partake with a serious or to serious attitude then all that happens is that you get to uptight and ruin it for yourself. I say relax take the p++s and have fun , save the serious stuff for the nationals and the such like. :D:D:D:D:D

some think what there gonna say and others say what they think, you just happen to be the later which in some cases is a good thing and at times its not . knowing which one to use at the right time is the key. i fear at times you have done the later and in turn caused your girly moan;):D
step back for a while and try and remember why you wanted to get into all this shooting stuff in the first place. good luck with this one mate.:)

Getting pissed with your mates is one of the biggest parts of a national weekend Dave - You really do take things too seriously in your neck of the woods!;):D:p
