I have narrowed my choice of new hook down to two. The two I like are very, very similar in the pictures yet there's a £90 difference. Has anyone handled/owned both and can comment on quality/weight differences etc.? The two I'm looking at are the Anschutz Retro and Grunig & Elmiger Return.

I've got a return. No experience of the anschutz.

The return as standard benefits from a longer mid length knuckle, Ryan from intershoot will be able to advise. Mines fitted with an AJP MkII QR knob which makes height adjustment quick. I like it. Holds position and fits me quite well and is quite accommodating.

Thanks Rob, I've got the old Armadillo hook and I really like the top curved bit, feels really good in the shoulder. The hook bit is lacking a bit in adjustability to get a spot on fit though, hopefully one of the two new hooks should offer what I'm after.

The return is very similar to an armadillo, just narrower with more adjustment on the hook park... assuming you count the extra knuckle.

    Well made

    Hi Chris
I think I was the original owner of Robs hook, I never fitted it but spent hours admiring it.
A very well made piece of kit that looks stunning.

I tried Dave Hatfeild return on his TM1000 and it's a very comfortable fit,and there's not to much to mess about with on it.
Thinking of getting myself one :D

    I use the G&E Return.

Best hook for FT on the market IMO.
