Tried it today, converted by Welham - what a piece of equipment it is!

The stock is a work of art, yes beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it was so comfortable to shoot with.

Hhhhmmm just need to raid the old piggy bank now.

    regards,

    Matt

    Yes :)

I was the only sensible one - kept my eyes closed and my fingers in my ears so I wasn't tempted. Matt talked himself out of getting one 37 times but kept coming back to have one more look ;)

    There is one here: http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=2831941

    ... though they are some "cheaper" models ...ie: 9002 Premium - Euro 1200/Euro 900 to Euro1400/ Euro960 for the 8002 S2..

Depends ...just got to wait for the best deal to pop up on eGun...as I got my 9002 Premium (not S2) in MINT condition for Euro 950 (GBP800)- and its currently being Viagra power modded by JH ! :D

i do believe there is a fly in the ointment with the new Anschutz S2 range. The block where the barrel fits into is no longer dovetailed therefore fitting a scope is a problem. So add more to the price to get this upgraded or rectified :( pic

Last years S2 didnt come with front dovetail, however you can buy a genuine part that fits over location pegs and also screwed down. Quite substantial, shocked me when tightened up.
S2 made from Jan this year will resort back to the inbuilt front dovetail as before.

S2 gold valves still need to be machined but when done offer a far superior firing cycle. The earlier valves which are the same as the 2002 from 1998 can be partially converted.

I have the second converted one in this country Sept 2005, still on original reg seals and untouched since first done. Power stable from -6 to 92 degrees then its only 4 ft/sec above that to 100 degrees.
