Recently had one of these converted to 12 ft/lb by Dave Welham, just bedding it in setting it up for bench rest shooting etc

Has anyone got one similar? what sort of shot count are you getting? Consistency figures and best pellet?

    Any help appreciated

I am really enjoying shooting this rifle at minute it is out shooting my FTP900

    Thanks for that.

Are you using them lubed or un-lubed?

    Cheers

I am getting 100+ shots from 200 bar from my 8002 S2 Black Air using JSB 8.4's with excellent consistency! Of course selecting a good pellet plays a part here but so does the rifle too.

    Cheers Tench

Mines a black S2 as well, I am using 8.4 JSBs, seem to be getting round about 110-115 shots. I am going to put a full charge through chronograph later this week now I have fully run it in.

Are you still using yours with the barrel clamp (A Frame)?

No I machined it all off and fitted a 26mm dia back vented shroud with a stripper in it and short silencer.

I have not done a full string as it does more than enough shots, i don't need to know how many it does. I fill to 180 bar, put a few through on the plinking range then shoot an hft comp and it still has 150 in it.

I will see if i have any pics?

Johns post was a bit tongue in cheek Vinny, his is on its way! ;)

No the front is not gold plated, well not until I win gold! It is a new cylinder end I made to accept the original gauge and lens incorporating a filler with rotating port cover. I am still looking at this with a view to making a batch of cylinder ends?

The table cover is not for sale, I know you want it!

I really like what you have done to your Anschutz, did you do the power mod yourself or was that done by someone else?

Rob can you put up a pic of your 8002! Is it still got the standard shroud and aframe fitted after you had the conversion done?

Here you are John, a pic with the std barrel and A frame, although the barrel shroud has been shortened to the air res length. Chopped about 5" off, the actual barrel still finishes 85mm down inside the shroud even after cutting the shroud.

Bandit yes I did the conversion myself, it does require some machining and big bo11ox! So I found it quite easy! LoL  :D

No problem with POI shift with mounts either side of the breech?

A bit of carbonfibre wrap would look nice on the cylinder BTW ;)

It has only been up and running in its final incarnation about a month Conor but it has not moved at all! Shot 2 x 58 in the past 2 weekends and 3 of the 4 missed were standers, the other was me over ranging! :eek:o
It has been scoped up and tested at various stages of the development and I have never seen any shift. I don't think the split action is an issue. The deck heights on mine are slightly different though with the front being about 0.25mm lower so after finding my mount position I wrapped some emery around a foot of 28mm dia tube and aligned them. Not doing this would have caused tension in the scope/breech assembly. I will measure this on others I have coming to see if it is an inbuilt feature or just an issue on this one. I see a little downward slope as a benefit so I don't have a problem with it.
