    Hi all,

Does anyone know how to remove the barrel shroud from an Annie 2002/2025?

Been after an answer for a while, Frank Dyke('s employee) told me it should just pull off as it's retained by an o-ring, Anschutz rep said "We don't change the barrel shroud, we change the whole barrel."

All in all, an effort to fruitlessness. Can anyone else help?

    Thanks

Been trying them for a while, left a few messages and sent some emails, no answer. Isn't John Harris a member of this forum?

If I recall correctly Dave Welham told me that in order to get the shroud off you need to apply a scary amount of heat. Why not just leave it on and enjoy the distinctive bloop?

    I don't like being distinctive!

Actually, I want to replace it with a shorter aluminium or plain carbon (black) shroud to bias the balance a bit better for me. I have quite a long length of pull, plus my rifle has the original short stubby steel cylinder. Plus, I want to retain the original shroud. This is my third Annie 2002/2025 and I really want to make this one my own.
