I can't tell you what format it will now take but
It used to be 2 courses of 50 shots

1 course set out to BFTA standard using all 40mm or above kills 2 targets per lane 1 shot at each

second course set out to american rules any size kills between 7 and 45mm 8to55yds one target
per lane each target shot twice

there used to be a compulsary prone lane but this was droped some years a go

you shoot one course day one and the other on day two

Also - the winner used to be calculated from the results on both days but I think they had a top score award for each course on both days.

    Uk extreme?

Doz, can you breifly explain uk extreme hft rules? Does that mean you would be shooting at partialy obscured targets? or have to pick a way through grass? As i have shot this event at Redfearns the second day of American style targets were not obscured but just small kills.

If the American course is being shot to UKAHFT extreme rules then there could only be a max of 4 "off the peg shots" these are explained HERE

The Extreme rules covering the distances are HERE

I might be wrong, but don't think there's a mag limit in UKAHFT Andrew.

Hi Andrew, have you never shot the Anglo before ?

If you were shooting with your FT kit you would shoot one course per days with your standard FT kit using any mag you want.

The 12x rule was purely for the HFT shooters as previously at Redfearns one or two HFT shooters tried using FT scopes to shoot the BFTA course.

    confused

Last time I shot the Anglo American the only thing that was different from FT was that one of the courses had really small kills and distance rules did not apply, I shot both courses using my FT rig FT style.

Can I still shoot it like this? Using my scope wheel and turrets? Windicator etc Or do I have to shoot to HFT rules and the limits of what I can and cannot use.

Or has someone deliberately mentioned HFT rules to put people off

    Courses etc

Just to confirm. ft shooters they will shoot both courses with their rigs as they would normally shoot ft.

Hft shooters will shoot both courses as they would normally shoot their kit.

100 shots over 2 days in either ft or hft style.

I don't think we would have any obscured kills zones Gilly they might be for hft shooters depending where the peg placement might be, I will confirm that with sparky though.
