Very sad news my thoughts are with Nathan and his family.
Gutted will miss you Alan . Thoughts to his family.
Caught up with Alan at Bisley, such a nice guy. Will be sadly missed by the FT fraternity. R.I.P

Having been paired up with Alan on many an occassion, he was always the gent and it was a pleasure to have known him.

Very saddened to hear this: Alan was very pragmatic about it though and was the first to say he'd lived a good life. A real character, he will be sorely missed within the Region.

Sad times for a true gent. I remember meeting Alan and a very young but talented Nathan back in 2003 at the first worlds in Ireland.
Great character, and I’m sure will be sorely missed.
Perhaps my best memory was turning around on the plinking range at the Worlds in Portugal and seeing Alan and Nathan walking over, they just driven all the way from home in a little Micra!

Thank you for all the kind words and messages of sympathy shown, it has truly shown what an outstanding character Alan was and has helped comfort us all through this difficult time.
