Very saddened to hear this: Alan was very pragmatic about it though and was the first to say he'd lived a good life. A real character, he will be sorely missed within the Region.

All our condolences go out to Nathan and his family.

Sad times for a true gent. I remember meeting Alan and a very young but talented Nathan back in 2003 at the first worlds in Ireland.
Great character, and I’m sure will be sorely missed.
Perhaps my best memory was turning around on the plinking range at the Worlds in Portugal and seeing Alan and Nathan walking over, they just driven all the way from home in a little Micra!

RIP Alan, condolences to Nathan and the rest of the family.

A true gentleman. I enjoyed his company and spent some time chatting to him at Bisley when he couldn't shoot.

    He will be sorely missed.

    Dear all,

Thank you for all the kind words and messages of sympathy shown, it has truly shown what an outstanding character Alan was and has helped comfort us all through this difficult time.

Myself and the family would like to invite Alans friends from the FT communtity who would like to pay their respects to him at St Marys Church Long Sutton, on the 10th September at 2pm. If you would like to attend please let myself know either on here or contact me on 07717466350. Refreshments will be available afterwards at the Royal British Legion if you would like to join us.
