If it is all alloy that is prob why it keeps coming loose try and see if you can get a steel ball joint that will stop them coming loose. Hope this helps.

Get thi stillsons on it Kev  :D

Seems like a really bad idea to have the ball joint on the hamster, it works well on the cheek piece and the butt pad and I can why AA have fitted it to the hamster as it looks great on paper for kneelers but it needs a different design to stop it from moving, the mk3 stock design is much better imho ;)

firstly take the existing bolts out and replace them with slightly longer ones ,the one airarms fit are only biting on a few threads ,
get some emery paper and rough the ball up to give it a keyed surface .
this will solve your problem .

    Airarms ball's

    Hi,
I had an EV for a while and found the same problem (they should have stuck to the two post's)
I made a thin rubber washer just smaller than the ball and fitted it into the ball cup.
You will also have to get a longer screw to make sure you use all the thread in the hole.
It's also a good idear to change all the 6mm screws fitted as standard from "button head to socket head".
And plated screws are better than the stainless ones fitted.

    Hope this helps

    Steve

try removing the grub screw and grinding the end flat so that u have more surface area to do the clamping

The stainless on there is likely to be A2 grade (304) which can be soft, upgrade to A4 grade (316) which is harder (more chrome in it)
