    Im wondering about flight cases.
Is there a max size case you can have for your gun plus are you allowed to have two guns in one case?
Im asking as i have seen a peli 1740 case that would nicely fit two FT guns with ease or it would end up being two peli 1720 cases that would be double the price.
As if i went abroad i would want to take two guns so i had a back up.
    Thanks gav

Depends on the airline. Some stipulate a max weight, some stipulate one gun only.
I'd be surprised if you could get two FT guns, butt hook and one scope fitted into a peli!

    Hi Gavin,

I have a 1740 and, as Conor says, you couldn't fit two FT rigs in.

So dos everyone only take one gun when shooting abroad?
I thought everyone would take two incase the main went down and you have a spare to carry on.

    Side by side

I'd personally say this is a bad idea..

The foam is good but the cases are designed to take one rifle lying on it's side.

I can only speak from experience that I only take one rifle when gio away shooting.

Decent idea to take two but then you have to carry 2 and pay for 2.

I wouldn't try taking 2 guns side by side in a case myself..

    Might get some damage...

    1720

That's what I've got and bought mine back in 2009..

    Absolutely awesome cases to use..

I take my butt hook off to get the gun in as I find it's easier to fit in..

Looking at the dimensions the 1740 you probably could take 2 guns sitting upright as you say, its a much deeper case than the 1750 or 1720 that most guys use.
Bit extreme to be honest but I suppose when you have an Air Arms you never do know when it could go pop.:p

Its (1740) a very big case to take places mind, its heavy and very bulky think about room in a hire care if you are sharing with others as it takes up a lot of room.

You sure you've not got the 1750?

I wondering what everyone dos with there gun bag?
Do you take some foam out the lid and put it in the case, or fold it up and put in suitcase?
    Thanks

    two guns

Hi, i did take two guns in my pelicase last year but one was an action only which i needed repaired so easily fitted into case, Flybe had no problem allowing this. Two full rigs would be tight as the guys have said.
