Can anyone tell me the thread size on the air cylinders on air arms please?
If my memory serves me right, 28.5mm od by 1.25 pitch
What memory Shaun ;-)
Have you done my mods for 007 ;-)
Thank you,in laymans term is it unf metric fine bsp 1 inch ect?
Its a metric pitch, 28.5mm is the outside diameter of the thread, 1.25 is the pitch of the thread.
Neil drop your rifle of when your not using it for a week or two.
Unless the AA in question is an S200 then the thread is 25x1mm.
The S200 is smaller than that. The O ring is a 21mm x 2mm or 2.5mm depending on age.
The several hundred regs I machined at 25x1mm must all have been wrong then.
A 21 x 2.5mm o ring will have an O/d of 26mm, id + 2x thickness.
The S200 manual and parts list from AA says 21mm.
Then the AA manual is probably quoting an O ring dimension and not referring to the thread size which is 25x1mm, which is also the same thread BSA use on their air tubes.
