I'd like to request again , if possible, to create a sub folder in the 'Knowledge' section, entitled 'Album of Your Kit', etc...

Not my favourite thing to be honest, nost of us know what Dommies and Steyrs look like and apart from Davey P's there's not a lot of difference. And we all see each others gear at shoots, is there anything wrong with a link in a signature? :)

...I follow what you're saying...but as a 'PR' tool, as a forum viewed internationally, etc..., and as all other websites do, Its really interesting checking out what other shooters have in airgun kit...the point is some of us do really enjoy admiring the guns...I mean the bling bling close ups of mods, etc...is really useful as well, and helps with business referrals when new members are asking about titanium bits and pieces, or tech stuff, from members or guests from the other side of the pond etc..

I for one, wish all info. was a little more centralised rather than have to ask & wait for other forum members to advise on how to fit moderators on a Walther LG300 (still waiting), or obtain a titanium cylinder...names are bandied about..but is the info still upto date, or is the chap that used to do it , no longer offering the service etc...?? see what I mean..

Anyway, my 2 pennies are that most members here are already dedicated HFT or Ft competitors, who know their kit inside out, as well as their mate's stuff...but quality photography will enhance this sport, and there is no reason why an album could be viewed other than boring ????

    Cheers.

Some people just aren't that bothered about posting loads of pictures of our rifles or close ups of the mods we've done:rolleyes:

If you enjoy posting pictures of your rifles then go for it,:D

How centralised do you want things ? we have separate sections for the main manufacturers where all the info that has been posted can be found. You were answered twice by me on the silencer thread so either other people had similar info & didn't duplicate, they couldn't be bothered to post or they didn't have any info. Some people don't want their personal details posting on a forum which is why if a question is asked then someone may PM you their number.

How will photgraphs of my rifles enhance the sport ???

I don't see a picture of your Walther Hunter ??

There's been a gun porn thread started on here already, most people want the same things from their rifles so the majority of mods are the same - I can count on one hand the amount of truely one off Walthers/Steyrs with mods that'll never be copied. Everything else is copied from something else. For me it's what the general section is
    used for.

As for the moderator, whip the shroud off and put a 1/2" UNF adapter on the barrel. UK Neil or Dave Lilley will be able to knock one up for you.

...just for you Scooby...a few pics of the Hunter...and the Alutech..

Ok, I shall keep on posting more pics of my airguns in the future as the collection grows :D

A pic is worth a thousand words....as far as enhancing the Sport, Its the combined pics of events, of individuals, and the rifles, and even the HFT/FT course, that tell a whole story ....and the website/forum then starts getting a reputation of being classy, informative, and attracts more new members and so on and so forth... but anyway, thats my 2 pennies.

As far as centralised things...hats off on the Unofficial Manufacturer section ....moving 1 step further, is perhaps having a 'sticky' directory for each brand, listing the contact details of businesses or individuals (if they are OK on this) , selling/providing modded kit stuff....ie: Walther would have for example - Intl. Modders: Joe Korick, Alan Zazadsny, UK Modders: Mick Tromins (dont know his contact details but just heard his name as the guy providing titanium cylinders), and other known & reputable chaps who do 'mods' & upgrades...with a brief detail of what they provide, cost, etc...

...NB: a lot of us (whether shooters or collectors), are also members of other airgun Uk or global forums , mainly because we scour the earth for deals on 2nd hand kit, and bits & pieces to mod our rifles, as well as getting & sharing knowledge on technical aspects ; am sure everyone has noticed no forum, has yet a foothold on being the best location by offering a centralised directory of who does what , at what price, and accompanied pics. This is also perhaps why I keep on confusing & forgetting what my passwords are !:D as I rotate my time during the week or month from 1 forum to another.

'We' (the royal we) could just start a thread of pics in the sections, and then people can post on those threads... i can make it sticky then so it would stay at the top of each section.

If there's any info to be posted, post away, but it's always best to ask the person/shop you're recommending first as they might not want their info made public :)
