Tawdvale for breaking most of the rules on standers and kneelers. and as steve said in another post should only be classed as a open shoot.

the BfTA are there to try to bring our sport forward thats why the rules are in and not to be just forgot about. or we going back to the dark ages.

There are other issues about the shoot to which need to be addressed to.

WE JUST HAVE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS AT THE MEETING IN JUNE.

    What Huge Sign

I would like to nominate Peter "Arms dealer" Jacob for not seeing the large Kneeling Sign on our last lane (lane 19) and shooting the first target sitting.

Can I nominate him for shooting a Walther too?:D

Hi Kev, I thought the BFTA rules were changed after the Emley shoot a few years ago & said that once a shot had been taken at a target it was then accepted for the whole of the competition.

Maybe its time to vet the GP courses before hand ? We still find targets that need altering when vetting our UKAHFT national courses.

one of the lanes in question was called by a well known shooter before as shot was taken and they would not do any thing about it.

I think that was the general thaught Sunday afternoon, that a Gp course will now be checked prior to starting Am session.
We walked the course saturday evening and I said " tough first lane, 42 y + 37 y stander".
Range finding done by mk1 before anyone asks, but it did not occure to me about the new "rules" on positionals!
Think its fair to say a large amount of re-wording may be coming up on shoot rules at the next meeting or two?

    Back to aardvarks:)

    Course at Tawd

    Lads,

Like i said on Sunday to all that i spoke to, the course had been shot so it was too late to change it etc. You cant change it to an open as it has been shot.

With regards to the club etc, this mistake WILL NOT happen again. Gp 3 - 5 will be run right and in the meantime this issue will be discussed and sorted AT THE MEETING! ! !

Lets put this to bed on here and get things back on track at the rest of the gp's.

    Berty

    gp2

:Dok as i am not going to get my thread back here is my view

gp2 was a poor course anyway -there could have been more thought put into it .

we cannot and should not put this down as an open as that is unfair to the shooters that hit the illegal targets (yes i missed all the standers )

what we should do is learn from it and ensure the rules are followed for the remainder of the gps

my view is the bfta or the shooters elect 2/3 people who are fully aware of the rules to vet the courses before any shooting takes place (i am sure this is what happens in hft )and it seems to work .

if a target is demed to be illegal it gets sorted before anyone is even on the firing line .

the rules on target distance and placment should be made clear to avoid any misinterpretaion

these are my views and anyway i think we should ban standers anyway :D:eek:
