    Hi all.
It's an honour to our Association AFTE , to announce in this forum the dates to be held the 5th Field Target International Open of Euskadi 2010.

This will allow to schedule the trip to Euskadi to all interested English shooters with sufficient time to book tickets at a good price and to prepare the travel with calm.

We'll add additional information about hotels and other informations later.

The dates will be 3rd.&4th. of July 2010

I'd like to add that the three of us that went last July had an absolutely crackin' time & I'd urge you all to consider this Comp next year. Only an hour & 30mins flight time, I've had longer bus journeys! The hospitality & the craic was great!
    Give it a go.;)

Apparently Alison had a lovely time while I was away in South Africa, Charming!

But will I get permission to go to Spain?

    Hi Guys,

we (Shaun, Greg and Roy) went this year.

Flight was from Stansted to Bilbao.

The shoot is in Zumarraga which is about an hour from Bilbao.

Many of the shooters stayed in the Exteberri Hotel which does b&b for 45 euros for a single and 55 euro for a double room.

We had a fabulous time and I would recommend the trip to anyone who wants to enjoy their shooting and a experience a new and very welcoming culture.

Paste this to read about our trip

I will happily answer any questions people have about the trip.

    Regards

    Shaun :)

    Bring with mate...

I can see a roaming england squad forming...

Shaun, feel free to stick your blog in the links section... never read it before. Does it do RSS feed?

What did they do to check your cylinders were empty of air? I set my walther on test mode, so unless you know how to take it off, it simply clicks if cocked and fired...

Rob, when we went through customs the guy said he wanted to check that the rifles didn't contain air. He then just looked at them and said they were fine.

I had left in some air fearful that seals might do odd things. On the way back we all elected to shoot our guns until they dumped. No one checked for air on the return journey.

Chris, the dates have probably been set, but it might be worth raising it at the AGM in November to see if it does, if anything can be done. I know the BFTA agree dates with the UKAHFT, so it might be a knock on effect of something moving...

Shaun, and RSS is something you can subscribe to, that updates when something new is posted \nd it allows you to gather updates from a load of websites at the same time :)

    Hi Guys,

the Euskadi Open does not clash with any GP dates.

I asked Tony Cook for the dates and forwarded them to Spain.
