Found this in a file the other day, copied from a 1985 Airgun world I think
    How many can you name?
Bottom row 3rd from left I believe is John Thomas (RIP) which is why I ad a copy of it.

    Nice find.

The BFTA website needs a section for this stuff, before we lose it... (the history that is, not marbles or talent)

I can set that up easily and I agree, it would be nice to have this archived.

    Go for it.

When doing the EFTA website we started to realise that there's a lot of history out there, some of which is getting quite vague, and we're losing a lot of it as we unfortunately lose people. Aside from the sheer interest in it, there's also lessons in it for the future.

I'd like to try that, it sounds like fun.

I know even with lanes of 2, especially for the top guys, one lane can make or break their comp. But imagine you're clear and on your last lane. Wind's a bit different, then you miss the first, then the second!
Or you've not managed time too well, you're just settling to shoot no.4 and someone says 30 seconds!

Barry 'quick draw' McCraw in bottom row.

The man who'd regulary smash polo mints at 50 metres with his home tuned Daystate.

A long range specialist who'd read the distance and wind speed like no other.

The finest shot in the land back in the day.

    A gentleman and terrific marksman.
